Questions/FAQS:
Q: "I just registered for ChartSCANS,
when will I get my login/pass?"
You will get your login/pass before the opening bell of the day after you register,
within 24 hours. You do not get it instantly. Please wait until at least 24 hours have passed before contacting us with a request for your login/pass.
Make sure to add this email to your address book/whitelist so that your email program doesn't filter out your login/pass information:  . Please do not enroll with an aol or earthlink or spamarrest or other filtered email address, as they will prevent you from getting your ChartSCANS login/pass information. Try hotmail.com or mail.yahoo.com or gmail.com instead.
If you register on
a Fri-Sat-Sun, you'll
get it by 9:00am Monday morning. We don't automatically send out login/passes
immediately,
because all orders are manually
verified, and your login/pass is entered into our multiple IP address checking
security script
before you receive it.. so give us 24 hours
(weekdays) or til Monday morning (weekends) to get your login/pass. Thanks for your understanding!
Q: "Do you offer any kind of free trial?"
Answer: Not anymore; because traders tried to abuse the service by repeatedly signing up for free trials, so this was discontinued in early 2008. No more free or low-price trials are being offered.
Q: "Should I actually make real trades
based on ChartSCANS alerts?"
Answer: No. Since this is an educational service only, and not an advisory one,
you must agree to papertrade only with the ChartSCANS alerts service. Our goal
is trader education and training; so use the alerts to learn the patterns in
each day's markets.

Q: "My login got disabled and I see a "Multiple IP Address Detected" sign when I try to login to the ChartSCANS Members' Area. What happened?"
Answer: To deter password sharing, we use an advanced multiple-IP address logging detection script that will automatically disable your login and password permanently if you try and log in from multiple computers, or from different locations. You may access ChartSCANS from a maximum of 2 unique IP addresses before your password gets permanently disabled. So do not share your password. All logins are IP-tracked for site security.
Q: "How do I cancel ChartSCANS Alerts?"
Answer: Simply contact us and we will cancel your subscription and billing — please contact us at least 48 hours prior to your renewal date and we'll cancel it for you, using the "Support" tab on this or any other page.
Q: "Do you provide alerts for
forex, e-minis, or commodities?"
Answer: No - the ChartSCANS service is exclusively for NASDAQ/NYSE stock traders.
Question: Do you plan to offer these in the future? No.
Q: "Can I register once, then cancel, then re-register later, repeatedly?"
Answer: No - you can register once per calendar year. For example if you join in February 2011, stay a member for 4 months and cancel in May 2011, you can't rejoin again til 2012. We've found a small number of traders go back and forth with memberships, (joining, leaving, then re-joining soon after), which we do not have time to process. Limit one registration per calendar year per trader.
